· 2.8: Electromagnetic Properties of Materials. In electromagnetic analysis, one is principally concerned with three properties of matter. These properties are quantified in terms of constitutive parameters, which describe the effect of material in determining an electromagnetic quantity in response to a source.
Contactor – Construction, Operation, Application and Selection. An electrical contactor is a switching device, widely used for the switching of motors, capacitors (for power factor correction) and lights. As the name indicates it is used to make or break contacts as like an ordinary on-off switch.
